Hyuuga

Hyuuga is a Kongō-class battleship of the Imperial Japanese Navy. She was the second ship of her class, and was named after Mount Hyūga in Miyazaki Prefecture. Hyuuga was laid down at the Kure Naval Arsenal on 21 November 1915, launched on 16 December 1917, and commissioned on 18 November 1918. Hyuuga served in the Second World War, and participated in the Battle of Midway, the Battle of the Eastern Solomons, and the Battle of Santa Cruz. She was heavily damaged in the latter battle, and was forced to return to Japan for repairs. Hyuuga was never fully repaired, and was sunk by American aircraft in 1945. In Kantai Collection, Hyuuga is a shy and gentle shipgirl who is often bullied by her sister ship, Kongō. She is also very skilled at cooking, and loves to bake cakes for her friends.
