Providentia
In ancient Rome, people believed in a goddess named Providentia. She was the embodiment of the ability to foresee and make provision for the future. She was often depicted in art and literature, but there are few stories about her actual adventures. One story tells of how she helped a farmer who was about to lose his crop to a drought. Providentia appeared to the farmer in a dream and told him to plant his seeds in a different field. The farmer did as she said, and his crop flourished.
