Henry V

Henry V was born in 1387 to Henry IV of England and Mary de Bohun. He was the second of four sons, but the only one to survive to adulthood. Henry V was educated at the University of Oxford and served in the military from an early age. In 1413, he succeeded his father to the throne of England. Henry V was a popular king and a successful military leader. He led the English army to victory in the Hundred Years' War, defeating the French at the Battle of Agincourt in 1415. Henry V died in 1422 at the age of 35, leaving his infant son, Henry VI, to succeed him. Henry V is remembered as one of England's greatest kings. He was a strong and decisive leader who was able to unite his country and lead it to victory in war. He is also remembered for his love of literature and the arts.
